The "Welcome to Marketwatch" packet has been fairly well discussed. Our first example of the packet came from Richard Zepeda in San Antonio, Texas. For the first issue of Marketwatch, he would send the following:
- a RE/MAX folder (his company) and on the left side was
- the Welcome Letter (it just explains how he & his team works - By Referral),
- and a small PAN note - which noted something from the initial conversation with the lead. - i.e. schools are important.
- On the right side, would be a copy of one of the homebuyer articles,
- and the listings for that week.

Since the original idea, some innovations have been added, then include the following:
- upgrade from folder to binder
- 3 hole-punch the listings & articles
- add a real estate map
- add chamber of commerce brochures - or raid a local hotel or visitors info booth
- sending the packet via priority mail or UPS
